Few words about the Founder & President
An engineer by training but a social worker by choice Mr. Akshay Kumar Samal is a Cassandra of an exceptional order straining his every nerve for bringing social and cultural awareness among the various strata of our society. Animated by the strongest national spirit being intersperse with patriotic fervor and enthusiasm, his meticulously designed “ Saheedon Ko Salam’’ program both in India & abroad has stolen limelight across the country during various national cultural ensembles. Having had an advance three & half years diploma in Production Engineering and Industrial Management from a reputed Govt. Institute from Sonepat in Haryana & Master in Business Administration ( MBA) from the Manipal University in Marketing, he has gathered 22 years rich industrial experience from reputed auto manufacturing industry in India in supply planning , logistics, PPC & customers relationship management. But later he has switched over to social work and cultural mission with nostalgia and strongly vouchsafes, this is his passion.
Mr.Akshay has now become an indispensable link in uniting Odia communities through out the country for ushering in an odia cultural revolution that has a glorious past.
Till now he has united more than five lakhs of Odia people of Odishan diaspora living in various parts of the country and abroad. He is associating with more than fifty different organizations in the country holding with different key positions. Besides he is the founder & President of Kalinga Bharati Foundation a Pan-India Socio-cultural organization with its headquarters in New Delhi. Mr.Samal has been organizing assemblies of scholars, historians for disseminating details of the six days long first International Jagannatha Mahostava in New Delhi , Bicentenary Paika rebellion of Odisha against british rules strongly believes in continuing such activities till the rebellion gains its due status as the first organized war of Indian Independence prior to the commencement of the Sepoy mutiny of 1857. He will not rest till the paika rebellion receives its due recognition in the Indian history.
Family, friends & well wishers were the source of inspiration for him. Mr.Samal always says“ Never say you don’t have time. Always manage your time with planning your work, & working your plan. His philosophy is time management is the life management. In his career till date he has honestly arranged permanent jobs for more than 300 needy Odia & non Odia people in various levels in different organizations.
His mission & vision of socio-cultural services though difficult, he has managed to accomplish in spite of persisting financial crises, Mr. Akshay Samal has a long way to go.
