An engineer by training but a social worker by choice, Mr. Akshay Kumar Samal is a visionary leader dedicated to bringing social and cultural awareness to various strata of society. Driven by a deep national spirit and patriotic fervor, his meticulously designed “Saheedon Ko Salam” program, both in India and abroad, has garnered nationwide attention during various national cultural ensembles.
Additionally, Mr. Samal’s altruistic endeavors and empathetic leadership have inspired countless individuals to join his mission, creating a ripple effect of positive change and cultural revival. Through his heartfelt dedication and visionary approach, he continues to illuminate the path toward a more inclusive and culturally enriched society.
Mr. Samal holds an advanced three-and-a-half-year diploma in Production Engineering and Industrial Management from a reputed government institute in Sonepat, Haryana, and a Master in Business Administration (MBA) in Marketing from Manipal University. He has amassed 22 years of rich industrial experience in the auto manufacturing industry in India, specializing in supply planning, logistics, PPC, and customer relationship management. Despite his successful career, he chose to pursue his passion for social work and cultural missions.
Mr. Samal has become an indispensable figure in uniting Odia communities across the country, initiating a cultural revolution that celebrates Odisha's glorious past. As the President and Founder of Kalinga Bharati Foundation, a Pan-India socio-cultural organization headquartered in New Delhi, he has brought together over five lakhs of the Odishan diaspora living in various parts of India and abroad. He collaborates with more than fifty different organizations nationwide, holding key positions and advocating for cultural and social initiatives..
Mr. Samal has organized assemblies of scholars and historians to disseminate details of significant cultural events, such as the six-day-long first International Jagannatha Mahotsava in New Delhi and the Bicentenary Paika Rebellion of Odisha against British rule. He is committed to gaining recognition for the Paika Rebellion as the first organized war of Indian independence, predating the Sepoy Mutiny of 1857. His relentless efforts will continue until this historical event receives its due recognition.
Family, friends, and well-wishers have been a constant source of inspiration for Mr. Samal. He often says, “Never say you don’t have time. Always manage your time by planning your work and working your plan.” He believes that time management is life management. Throughout his career, he has successfully arranged permanent jobs for more than 300 needy individuals, both Odia and non-Odia, in various organizations.
Despite financial challenges, Mr. Samal remains steadfast in his mission and vision of socio-cultural service. His dedication and hard work have enabled him to achieve remarkable accomplishments. However, his journey is far from over, and he is determined to continue his efforts to make a meaningful impact on society.
